‘What?’ to appear on CBC’s ‘Steven and Chris Show’!

The game of ‘What?’ will be showcased on CBC’s Steven and Chris show on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2pm in all Canadian time zones. Steven and Chris is a Canadian television talk show which airs on CBC television Monday through Friday at 2pm. The show is hosted by Steven Sabados and Chris Hyndman (of Designer Guys). Celebrity guests appearing on the show discuss topics ranging from entertainment, cooking, fashion, health, home decor and now...the game of ‘What?’ - A hilarious game of who-said-what from Outset Media.

Watch as Steven and Chris give away a copy of ‘What?’ to each member of their studio audience. Steven and Chris will also give away a $1000 game and puzzle library courtesy of Outset Media. In addition, a feature article by Outset Media will appear on their website at http://www.cbc.ca/stevenandchris/ about creating your own 'Family Game Night’. A link will also appear on their website directing viewers to http://www.thegameofwhat.com/ where they can find more information about the game and where they can purchase a copy in their community. What? in the January issue of Canadian Living Magazine

What? will be in the January issue of Canadian Living. The issue will be out before Christmas, (January circulation will begin on December 8), so there’s still lots of time for those holiday sales. What? continues to gain momentum in the North American market and has now become our biggest selling party game ever! Mention this blog entry the next time you order and I will include a complimentary copy for store demo/display.

National media coverage for Outset Media games and puzzles

A staff writer for the Sun and Osprey Media papers (over 50 papers in all) plans to use five of our games and two puzzles in her gift guide. This is huge coverage. Follow the links to Sun and Osprey to see the listing of the papers included. The products are: PickTwo Deluxe, one of the 'Professor Noggin card game' titles, 'What?', 'Theories', 'Wacky Stacky', and 2 family puzzles: 'Serengeti Dusk' and 'Dragon Hunters'. She might still use the 'Create Your Own Puzzles' too.

This is not written in stone and she has already had her word count cut once and, as we all know, stories do get bumped, but at this point this is what she plans.

Two Outset Media games make GAMES 100

Both Chicago Cribbage and What? were announced as winners of the GAMES 100 designation for 2009. And What? is the runner up to game of the year in the party games category!

The annual buying guide (December issue) is on its way to subscribers and newsstands now. GAMES is THE consumer magazine for game lovers of all kinds.

'What?' in Chatelaine magazine December issue!

What?, the gut-splitting new party game from Outset Media will be in the upcoming holiday gift guide of Chatelaine magazine.

Their circulation averages 670,516 but it's probably higher for the Christmas issue. The readership is 4,023,000! With readership this high, it's definitely worth buying a copy of that issue and creating a store display using the relevant pages, the magazine cover, an acrylic tent card display holder and a stack of the games- watch 'em fly!

As your account representative, I am always looking for the best way to stay in touch with my customers in a way that will provide you with the most up-to-date information on our games and puzzles as quickly as possible. Take publicity, for example. We often find out on very short notice that some of our advance publicity has materialized into a significant story in a newspaper or magazine or even on television or radio. That is information that can have an immediate and dramtic effect on your sales. This is information that you need to know fast!

The blog is also useful for letting you know what is really hot, what is selling out, or what's new. For relaying information to you in an efficient manner that can actually save you a lot of time, it's really hard to beat. The trick is making it readable and interesting enough for you to take that time. For this reason I will only email the link to the blog when there is something significant. Otherwise it's no longer news, it's just more SPAM for you to deal with.

Keva Contraptions Catapult from Mindware. I can't see how this product can miss. If I was a kid today - and to a certain extent I still am - I would absolutely have to have this.
