Sorry for not posting anything for a while. The last 6 to 8 weeks have been crazy indeed! Very rapid growth forced us to make some moves in order to maintain and enhance our level of service to our retailers. We just closed the Montreal warehouse at the end of May and opened the new 30,000 sq ft distribution centre in Brampton, Ontario on June 1. Over a two week period, 31 tractor trailers moved over 1100 pallets of games and puzzles to the new facility. Some of the features of the new centre include four loading docks, two forklifts and a pallet wrapping machine. The shipping area is also equipped with a scanner to read each item, calculate the required carton size and calculate the shipping size and weight of each carton. The result of this operation will be much faster and more accurate shipping as well as the capacity for much higher shipping and receiving volume. Our timing could not have been better. Today's fuel prices have effected the shipping costs of virtually every consumer product. Centralizing our shipping and receiving in the center of the continent will drastically improve our efficiency by reducing the amount of product that has to criss-cross the country.
